C Magazine: Is the name “Limited” Brands a huge irony?
Donna James: What, because it’s really unlimited with all the brands?!? Makes you think, doesn’t it?

C Magazine: What is the role of a poet in society?
James: To teach with grace and beauty.

C Magazine: What is the role of the businessperson?
James: To protect and serve.

C Magazine: You can be in any play ever written. What play is it and what role do you play?
James: The Color Purple, and I would be Celie.

C Magazine: What sort of business expenses could a butler write off?
James: Chapstick.

C Magazine: Do you have any pet peeves?
James: I hate when people treat secretaries like second-class citizens.

C Magazine: What is the most important thing we need to teach our children?
James: The importance of education.

C Magazine: What is the most important thing we can learn from them?
James: Forgiveness.

C Magazine: What one non-religious figure has had the biggest impact on the world?
James: Hitler. Think about it. As bad as he was, and with what he was trying to do, he brought nations together.

C Magazine: What do you think is the biggest crisis the world will face in the near future?
James: Religious differences.

C Magazine: What do you think is the biggest hope?
James: Religious differences.

C Magazine: How do you think people can effectively make a difference?
James: By listening more than they talk.
