2012 Harley Davidson CVO ULTRA

When it came time to replace my 1999 Harley Davidson Road King, I did not hesitate to go straight to the top of the model line up. After 12 faithful years from my Road King Classic, I was ready to go full bagger with the fairing and the stereo. I did not want to miss out on one single option, therefore the CVO was the only way to go. I ride between 20,000 to 25,000 miles any given year, and need performance and reliability. e CVO Ultra was offered in 3 different colors, and as soon as I saw the Electric Orange and Black Diamond combination, my mind was made up.
All the quality. All the legacy of the Harley-Davidson name. Plus custom touches and performance that distinguish you from every other bike on the road. Premium custom paint. Big, tricked-out wheels. The perfect storm of engineering and style you’ll only find on a custom machine. Loaded with the accessories—from comfort to electronics to chrome. But the real signature of a Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations motorcycle is the explosive power and sleek detailing of the huge Screamin’ Eagle 110” engine. It’s custom-built, not just for anyone, but for true riders.
I added little to the bike to get it “just right”. Harley’s LED light set for the front to get more visibility down the road, then a full Vance n Hines exhaust system to add more power and sound. Bryan at DynoTune Motorsports in Columbus treated her to a full Dyno session before I had ridden her even one mile. The result? A thunderous 120 lb.- ft. torque, a 20% increase over stock!
This year's riding included several trips to the Smokey Mountains, a ride around e Great Lakes, a trip to Milwaukee to visit the Harley Davidson Museum, and many thousands of miles around Ohio enjoying some of the best roads the state has to offer. Next year, the itinerary includes Key West and Sturgis on two wheels!
